I've just come back from the Frankfurt Book Fair, and after five years, I'd say this publishing house is fully relaunched. Most acclaimed book of 2003 - THE ART OF THE SIESTA by Thierry Paquot which advocates stopping work in the afternoon. Web site is www.marionboyars.co.uk. Film rights to all books are up for discussion and I'd love Daniel Day-Lewis to play the moody fisherman, Jim, in our novel THE ESKIMO IN THE NET by Gerard Beirne, which takes place off the coast of Donegal.

Emily Zinkin is now in the same form as Tessa, our youngest, as is Joseph Thompson, son of Liz Spearman and her partner, Michael. They are at Ibstock Place. We still live in Barnes, and if any Old Bedalians have an idea for a book, I'm open to discussion. I have one guaranteed successful plot line but no time to write it - Elizabeth Mood, where are you when I need you? Madly, I'm interested in literary fiction, drama, film and contemporary (and I mean really up to the minute and as alternative as you like) culture.

All the best,
Cathy Kilgarriff (nee Lobbenberg)
