It seems like a good time to tie up some long neglected links. We have moved so much it has been really hard to keep in touch with old friends etc. E-mail seems to be the perfect solution.

Elissa my dear Wife of nearly 20 years has got back to playing 'cello but not classical. We went to contra dance flurry in Saratoga and have hooked up with a great bunch of musicians rather like us and into Irish and fiddle music etc.

Effy is now 18 and soon off to College for writing (would you believe I am her father) and dance. She has almost full scholarship thanks to a $10,000/year Harcourt fund she won by writing an essay, so we are really proud.

We now live in a large 7 bedroom, 3½ bathrooms+ 1900s town house with loads of space so are very happy to have visitors. I spent winter 98-99 doing it up and now it is petty good and warm etc. We are very close to Saratoga Springs which is a cultural feast, and much better than the sticks of Green County where there were few people we could really relate to.

I got a great job at the local High School teaching and learning loads of computer/engineering stuff. But I am now having to find another job since they did not renew my contract. I think my price tag was a little high! and the principal is a bit of a downsizer.
